The Call for Sessions is open now and closes on October 11, 2026. Speakers will be notified by the end of October, and the full schedule will be published in November 2026.

Tracks

Sovereign AI Base Camp

• Topics: AI in Drupal, open models, running AI on your own infrastructure, European AI providers, data sovereignty, AI ethics, regulation and the EU AI Act

Frontend Ferrata

• Topics: React, Vue, Svelte, Astro and other frontend frameworks, headless and decoupled architectures, design systems, UX and interface design, accessibility, frontend performance, frontend testing

Backend Ascent

• Topics: PHP, Rust, Go, Python and other backend languages, API design, performance and scalability, architecture, migrations, DevOps and deployment workflows, CI/CD, containers and hosting infrastructure, application security, testing and QA

Editorial Summit

• Topics: Drupal Canvas, blökkli, Gutenberg and other authoring tools, editor experience and usability, content modelling and structured content, editorial workflows, digital asset management, multilingual, content strategy

Open Col

• Topics: open source sustainability and funding, cross community collaboration, public sector and government tech, open web policy, privacy, GDPR and digital sovereignty at the governance level, community building, contribution pathways

First Pitch

• Topics: getting started with Drupal, first contributions, beginner workshops, mentoring, career paths, hiring and getting hired, next steps after Drupal in a Day

What we are looking for

• AI in practice, in the spirit of our 2027 theme, Humans with AI in the Loop: open models, self hosting, retrieval, evaluation, cost, and where human review still matters
• Data sovereignty and compliance in real projects: GDPR, the EU AI Act, hosting choices, procurement, and public sector technology
• Drupal 10, 11 and 12 in production: upgrades, migrations, recipes, contrib maintenance and module showcases
• Architecture and platform engineering: decoupled and headless, caching, observability, CI/CD and infrastructure as code
• Editorial and content practice: content modelling, authoring tools, multilingual and asset management
• Frontend engineering and design: design systems, accessibility beyond compliance, and performance work with measurable results
• Community and sustainability: funding, governance, mentoring, and lessons from other open source projects
• Newcomers to Drupal and open source: hands on workshops and first contribution guidance
• Voices from beyond Drupal: other CMS communities, AI ethics, open web policy and adjacent technologies
